A beautiful Georgian period Partridgewood Tea Caddy with satinwood inlay. Casket shape tea caddy has brass lions-head mounts on either side and brass ball feet as well as a hinged lid.
The knobs on the interior lid finials as is the escutcheon surrounding the exterior lock are made of the same material.
Dates – England, circa 1820
The caddy measures 7 3/4 inches wide X 4 1/2 inches from the back to the front of the lid and it is 5 1/2 inches tall from the lid to the base of the ball feet.
Excellent condition overall – except for small chip of veneer – right side corner (pictured)
